DIRECTIONS & MAP TO OUR BED & BREAKFAST From Austin and San Antonio, head west from Johnson City on Hwy 290. Travel 10 miles to the tiny town of Hye, and turn left at the Post Office/Antique Store onto Hye-Albert Road.
From Fredericksburg, proceed east and travel through Stonewall and into the tiny town of Hye. Turn right at the Post Office/Antique Store onto Hye-Albert Road.
Important: To track with the directions below, please set your vehicle's trip odometer to zero at the Hye Post Office/Antique Store. Otherwise, we may have to send out a search party to find you.
For our Cowboy Hideaway and Country Cabin cabins, from the Hye Post Office, proceed south on Hye-Albert Road 1.3 miles to 1431 Hye-Albert Rd, notice on your left the sign "Welcome to Country Cabins", and turn left onto our property. Follow the road from there to your cabin.
To reach our
other three cabins (Leon's Loft, Lorenz's Trapper Cabin and Olivia's Haus), using the Hye Post Office/Antique Store as the starting point, proceed south on Hye-Albert Road 2.1 miles to the Lange Road intersection (small red road sign on your left, no other signs). Turn left onto onto Lange Road. Proceed past the first house on your left, and turn left at 793 Lange Road at the "Y" intersection (2.8 miles on your trip meter). See our B & B sign in the middle of the "Y". Follow the signs from there to your cabin.
Leon's Loft is at the owner's main ranch house, on your left, at the 3.0 mark on your trip meter. This is an upstairs loft, with a huge elevated deck with fabulous views of the countryside and sunsets. It has a separate entrance off the deck from the main house. Olivia's Haus and Lorenz's Trapper Cabin are further down the ranch road a piece. Just follow the signs and find these two cabins together at the end of the ranch road on your left.
If you have questions or need anything anytime, just stop in at the main ranch house and see Leon or Kay Lange, your hosts.
For any gate that you approach that is closed, please close it behind you as we don't want cattle to wander off where they don't belong. Otherwise, you will have to join our posse and go round 'em up if we can find them.
Our ranch roads are a bit bumpy and dusty most of the time. Just the way it is out here.
Remember, this is a real working cattle ranch and it is fenced in some areas and "open range" in others. If you come across cattle or wildlife on the ranch roads, please be patient. They live here too! If needed, gently tap your horn to "moo-ve" them along out of your way.
(Notice that some map services refer to Hye-Albert Rd as CR206.)

Note: On the Google map, those Google city folks have not updated the map for years. That road shown just before (to the left) of the "Circled A" doesn't exist. And, they placed the "Circled A" a little short. It belongs a little further to the right on the next road just up from the Y. Guess they haven't been on foot out in these parts for awhile!
